Also coming soon to the TRON line of equipment is our Ice Pants!  Our low end basic model, at $39.99 offers all the usual amenities of pants such as suspender snaps, and inserts in the kidney area to prevent injury.  However, we paid very close attention to the movements of players and the performance they demand from all their equipment to construct a pant that moves with the body, not hinders it's ability.  The Elite model is much more heavy duty, built and constructed for those who take a punishment, yet still very breathable and light.  It has a good amount of plastic inserts for protection, and zippered legs that can expand to allow the pants to come off over skates with ease.  We are so confident in the Elite pant that we are calling it "the most comfortable and protective pant ever made."

The Tron 100K is a stick with brand new technology.  The shaft has a new harpoon design which produced more taper.  It uses a nano rubber resin which makes it impact resistant but yet lighter ( 415 grams )than most high end sticks.  The blade is a short hozel type so the connection is lower to allow for more taper and a better kick.  This is also a true pro stick!  We are currently working on the graphics and this stick will arrive in late August.  Our price $129.99!

Have you ever picked up a stick, and you just KNEW right then and there that you loved it?  Did the curve on it open up just right? Was the flex just perfect to maximize your shot?

That was the goal we had in mind when we started to introduce our sticks to the hockey world.  We had great success in the sales of our two top of the line sticks, the TRON 405 and the TRON Elite.  Despite the success, we continue to raise the bar for ourselves, finding new ways to make a high-end stick more durable and resilient, while keeping the all important weight of the stick as low as possible.

When originally designing the TRON 405 ( 405 grams ), we set out to create the absolute lightest stick available on the market today, and we achieved this while keeping the retail value of the stick at a mere $129.99, almost HALF the price of the competition’s top sticks, like the Bauer Total One and Easton RS.  Thanks in large part to the feedback we received on the stick from the players who used it who claimed that it was the lightest, best performing and most durable high end stick they have ever used.  We are also introducing the TRON 405 Junior Stick as well, which is set to come very soon!  We currently plan on producing two curves in one flex for the JR stick, and four curves in three flexes for the SR model and awesome new graphics.

The TRON Elite stick, priced at only $129.99, weighs about 25 grams less than the Bauer TotalOne (The TotalOne weighs about 440 grams) but the Elite is half the price!  Again, we used the reviews and feedback of our customers to determine where we needed to make improvements in the design of the Elite, and it now features a true one-piece technology for an absolutely unmatched feel for the puck on your stick.  We had 8 semi-pro hockey players test it.  Also, on a cosmetic side, the look of the Elite is changing from the black/green/white scheme to a look that is similar to the TotalOne.  Currently, we plan on carrying a single curve in three flexes on the stick, with plans in the future to expand on that.

Goalies! Your gear is too expensive!

Yet goalies continue to spend upwards of $2000 for a set of pro level pads!  Why is this?  If you were to look at the materials and labor that go into the production of a goalie pad, you will see that there is absolutely ZERO reason why a set of even the highest level leg pads should retail for two grand.

It's because they flock together!  If a couple of good goalies say that Canadian made goal pads are the best then 500 would agree.  A goal pad made in China can be just as good, if you give them an opportunity to perform to the task.  I've witnessed this myself, and have two goalies absolute swear by our new goalie products.

The pads are being designed by a former manager at Vaughn.  They are being produced in a factory that manufactures the goal equipment sold by one of the top 3 Hockey Goalie companies in the world today.  We also got former designers in the goalie pad industry to give the TRON line its sleek look it bears.

We have 50 sets of our TRON Mega Pads coming in at the end of the month in 3 unique sizes (32+1, 34+1, 36+1), and 1 color pattern.  We have sold 32 sets of our TRON goalie equipment to pre-orders alone.  We do plan on carrying 2 other color schemes that will have matching blocker/glove/leg pad graphics, and we have word that those will be arriving in August.

We hope our TRON goal equipment will shed light on the top manufacturer's ridiculous mark-up for goalie equipment, and change the mindset of goalie paying these ridiculous prices for quality gear they deserve!

Why are the manufacturers afraid of HockeyTron?

After 22 years in the hockey retail business (I founded HockeyPlus, HockeyGiant, and HockeyMonkey), and 15 years as a professional Registered Engineer in California, I decided to try a "Wal-Mart" approach for hockey equipment retail.  Being in the business for as long as I had, I contacted the heads of the 3 Major Hockey companies and explained my concept to them.  They all wished me luck, and with good fortune and commitment, we have sold over 500,000 units of TRON equipment in our first year alone.

The last major breakthrough hockey equipment was the One-Piece stick which came out several years ago.  Why are the name-brand companies suffering major expenses in the Research and Development departments when it seems like year to year, the only thing that changes are the graphics?  The only trademarks to come out of the major players in the game were for silly buzzwords and catch phrases like Techtronic or MegaSuper.  Since it’s very simple to make sticks as good as anyone else’s, even better in some aspects, why not create one of our own?

Generally speaking, the manufacturers pay about $60 for their top of the line sticks, and about $120 for their high-end skates.  They respectively retail for $250 and $800 dollars.  If we could make identical products and retail them for half the price, why shouldn't we?  Very quickly, this mindset quickly took its turn to nearly every other product available on the market today.

We make an Anti-Scratch/Anti-Fog Visor (The s30) for $20 that a visor with similar features from a name brand would retail for $70.  We were able to produce a Roller Hockey Puck for 1/2 the price of any of our closest competitors, selling it for $4 instead of $8.  Wheels started at close to $5.00 a wheel before our Mega Hz wheels blew that price away at a mere $2 a wheel.  Even low end sticks we were able to knock close to $20 off;  Where you would normally see a $60 tag, we have been able to put $39.99 on our TRON Basic stick with the exact same weight specs.  Perhaps our best products, and by far our best sellers, have been TRON jerseys and socks.  Jerseys and socks we retail for $12 have name brand counterparts that retail for nearly 3 times as much!

The reception of our TRON products by the consumers has been absolutely phenomenal.  Since all the TRON products manufactured for us are made in similar factories in China that the name brands use, we know we are offering products with very good quality features and materials.

And the TRON line still continues to grow today, over 1 year later.  We are in the works for a goalie line of equipment.  Soon, TRON will have a leg pad, chest protector, blocker, and glove set that you can get for around $700.  It will all be high-end level equipment, which would normally run someone over two grand.  Pro-weighted jerseys, more visors, high-end skates, off-ice and on-ice training products, and much more are all coming soon.

We will be creating innovative and patented hockey equipment soon.  Two patented introductions will debut this coming summer, very cool surprises for sure!
